*Alyssa Warias
Alyssa received her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the bar in 2020.
She completed her Bachelor of Arts from Dalhousie University, graduating with First Class Honours.
Prior to being called to the bar, Alyssa articled at a civil litigation boutique in Toronto. Since then, her practice has focused exclusively on family law, including parenting issues, child support, spousal support and property division.
During her time at Osgoode, Alyssa volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada’s Family Law Project, helping self-represented litigants navigate the complex court system and drafting their court materials. She completed a clinical placement at the Barbra Schlifer Clinic where she assisted individuals experiencing gender-based violence with their family law issues. Alyssa was also the President of the Animal Justice Club and received an internship grant to work with Animal Justice, advocating for better animal protection laws in Canada.
Alyssa is experienced in navigating high conflict matters and has advocated for clients at the Ontario and Superior Court levels. Though she does not shy away from litigation, when necessary, Alyssa appreciates the importance of utilizing alternative dispute resolution mechanisms to provide cost-effective and timely solutions for her clients. She tailors her strategy to the individual reality of each client.
When she isn’t in the office, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to live music, lounging with her cat and scuba diving.
